Annual Tubong’ Nawi festival held in Nachola village to foster peace in Baragoi

Tobong' Nawi is a yearly Turkana cultural festival held at Nachola village in Baragoi. The festival celebrates the Turkana’s rich cultural heritage. The 4th Tobong' Nawi edition was based on peace among the two warring communities. Nachola MCA, who is the founder of Tobong Nawi, said that the event has help unite the Samburu and Turkana communities living in the area thereby bringing peace in an area renowned for fierce tribal clashes
