As the festive season continues, Administration Police officers in Malindi took time to give back to the community. The officers spent the day with children at the Mama Anakuja Orphanage.
Led by Sub-County AP Commander Samwel Kariuki, the officers said the visit was a collective effort by the unit to support children who have faced difficult life experiences and remind them they are cared for. Orphanage manager Naomi Wambua said the officers’ presence was critical in building trust between the children and the police, especially when reporting abuse. Some of the children at the home are survivors of sexual abuse, while others were abandoned
