Barcelona Rising Starlets and Laikipia Youth Soccer Academy (LYSA) defended their county titles after winning the fifth edition of the Chapa Dimba Laikipia County Finals at Nyahururu Stadium.
Barcelona Rising Starlets beat Nanyuki Starlets 1-0 to claim the girls’ county title for the fifth consecutive time, while LYSA edged Ilpolei Giants 6-5 on post-match penalties after a goalless draw in regular time to retain the boys’ title.
Other teams that have qualified for the Central Regional Finals scheduled for this weekend include Thriving Queens from Kiambu, Kirinyaga’s Kerugoya Sportiff, St. Joseph Starlets of Murang’a, and Karatina Home Queens from Nyeri.
In the boys’ category, the qualifiers are LYSA, Kiambu’s MASFO, Kiaga Secondary School of Kirinyaga, CDM Emmanuel FC from Murang’a, and Nyeri’s Giakairu.
