For years, Kenya’s cash transfer programme has been a lifeline for the elderly and persons with severe disabilities, providing a monthly stipend of Sh2,000. But with the cost of living rising, recipients say the money no longer goes far enough and are now calling on the government to increase the stipend. So, how far can Sh2,000 really go?
