The Kenya Union of Clinical Officers has threatened to withdraw more than 50 critical care officers still serving in facilities in Nakuru, as the strike enters its 37th day. The union says the county government aborted a third meeting this morning, that was meant to finalize a return-to-work formula. KUCO National Chair Peterson Wachira, who spoke in Nakuru, accused the county of exploiting interns with barely seven weeks of experience. He said clinical officers continue to demand documentation of career progression contracts, implementation of their Collective Bargaining Agreement, fair remuneration, and allowances including risk allowances. With the county failing to honor talks, the union insists the strike will persist until their grievances are addressed.
