CS Kagwe warns maize farmers to release crops within 30 days or government will import

The cabinet secretary for agriculture and livestock development, Mutahi Kagwe, has issued a one-month ultimatum to maize hoarders to release their maize to the market within 30 days, or risk being priced out by cheap imports. He warns that failure to do so will compel the government to allow duty-free maize imports to stabilize maize flour prices.
