Education ministry assures national exams will proceed

    The Ministry of Education says national examinations scheduled for October will proceed as planned, despite forecasts of El Niño rains. Principal Secretary for Education John Ololtuaa says students in schools identified as vulnerable will be relocated to safer institutions to sit their examinations. Principal Secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunications Stephen Isaboke has also assured the public of early warnings to ensure continuity during severe weather. The government says adequate food supplies have already been distributed to all counties to sustain communities in case transport infrastructure is disrupted by the rains.
