El Niño rains trigger flood and disease fears

As El Niño rains begin to pound parts of the country, health officials are racing to contain the threat of disease outbreaks, even as residents in Mombasa begin counting the cost of the first heavy downpours. From flooded streets along the Coast, to the rising waters of Lake Baringo, and the flood plains of Busia, the rains are already leaving a trail of disruption. Tonight, we take you across these three fronts as Kenya braces for what could be some of its heaviest rains in years.
