Ethekon dismisses election rigging claims

Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Chairperson Erastus Ethekon has dismissed claims of planned election rigging recently raised by DCP party leader Rigathi Gachagua, saying the statement was reckless and misleading. Speaking during a high-level national security roundtable in Nairobi, Ethekon joined other speakers in condemning the presence of goons in the country, saying they pose a risk to national security ahead of the 2027 General Election.
