Tonight, we begin the bulletin with relief for foreign nationals without the required documentation or valid permits to conduct business in Kenya. The government has given them an additional 90 days to regularise their status and remain in the country legally. The State House directive offers a reprieve to many who had already begun leaving Kenya following President Ruto’s order targeting foreigners in small-scale businesses. But despite the extension, some continue to visit their respective embassies, seeking travel documents to facilitate their return home. And as Ben Kirui reports, police have also arrested several people accused of threatening or attacking foreign nationals.
