Foreign nationals rush to UNHCR offices amid status regularization directive

Panic has continued to spread among foreign nationals following a government directive requiring them to regularize their status in the country. Despite the 90-day period granted to allow them to obtain the required documentation and permits to conduct business in the country, hundreds of foreigners, especially refugees and asylum seekers, have jammed United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) offices seeking protection.
