Foreign nationals seek exit documents amid crackdown

The government’s crackdown on foreign nationals without legal status to live and work in Kenya has triggered fear and anxiety, with Burundian nationals among those most affected. Many have since flocked to the Burundian Embassy in Nairobi, seeking travel documents to facilitate their return home. But what is behind the panic? Some of those affected have admitted entering Kenya through unofficial routes and without the documents required to legally identify themselves. They spoke to Citizen TV’s Ben Kirui.
