DCP party leader Rigathi Gachagua has rejected calls for the zoning of political strongholds within the United Opposition. Gachagua says internal competition among opposition parties will help drive higher voter turnout in the 2027 presidential election. He spoke after receiving Kamukunji MP Yusuf Hassan, who defected from the Jubilee Party to DCP. Gachagua, however, reiterated that the United Opposition will rally behind a single presidential candidate to face President William Ruto at the ballot. Emmanuel Too reports.
