Garissa multi-sectorial stakeholders hold crisis meeting on El-Nino

Multi-sectoral stakeholders in Garissa have stepped up preparations for the anticipated El Niño rains expected to begin in the first week of October. Governor Nathif Jama on Friday chaired a high-level preparedness meeting, bringing together officials from the county and national governments, the Kenya Meteorological Department, NDMA, Kenya Red Cross Society and other partners.
