Gender cabinet secretary Ann Cheptumo has warned chiefs abetting female genital mutilation in Baringo that their days are numbered. Speaking in Baringo County during a Women’s Conference, Gender CS, Ann Cheptumo condemned the practice and warned that those found responsible for this heinous act will be arrested and prosecuted. Female Genital Mutilation has been outlawed, but despite various measures to eradicate it, it still happens behind closed doors.
