    Ethiopia is preparing to inaugurate Africa’s largest hydroelectric dam this month. In an exclusive interview with the BBC’s Kalkidan Yibeltal, Ethiopia’s Water and Energy Minister Habtamu Itefa Geleta said the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam will not cut water flow to upstream countries. He added that the $4.6bn project is meant to transform Ethiopia’s power supply - and stressed that negotiations over Nile waters with Egypt and Sudan could continue.
