Hinga and Yaya win National Autocross Rally round

Michuki Hinga and Dennis Yaya won the two-wheel-drive non-turbo senior car category during the fifth round of the National Autocross Rally Championship at Stoni Athi in Machakos County. The drivers competed in five categories, including the juniors, cadets and seniors. Hinga won the two-wheel-drive non-turbo senior car category in a time of 10 minutes and 39 seconds. Adriano Varese finished second, while Tariq Rashid was third. The senior non-turbo buggy category was won by Nazim Shah in 11 minutes and 28 seconds, almost a minute ahead of Leo Kangethe, who finished second. The four-wheel-drive turbo car restriction category was closely contested, with Ankush Shah winning in nine minutes and 41 seconds, eight seconds ahead of Amaan Ganatra. Tinashe Gatimu was third. The open class category went to Javed Lota. Two more legs remain in the season, which concludes in November.
