A public inquest into the Hillside Endarasha Academy dormitory fire, in Nyeri County, that claimed the lives of 21 learners on September 5, 2024 has heard that one of five CCTV cameras in the school compound had been tampered with. The witness who is a CCTV technician testified that he had installed the cameras five days before the fire broke out and left them in working condition.
