Interfaith council condemns hostility towards foreigners

The Inter-Religious Council of Kenya has condemned the hostility directed at foreigners, particularly Burundian nationals, following the President’s directive to crack down on small-scale businesses operated by foreign nationals.The council called on Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba murkomen, to ensure the safety and protection of foreigners in the country.They have also urged foreigners affected by the directive,to heed the government’s call to regularise their stay and businesses within the stipulated period.
