Joho dismisses Gachagua claims of 2027 election rigging plot

Mining Cabinet Secretary Hassan Joho has distanced himself from allegations by DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua that he is among top government officials involved in a plan to rig the 2027 General Election. Speaking during a visit in Lamu County, Joho termed the allegations baseless, accusing Gachagua of targeting senior government officials from the coastal region. Defending IEBC Vice Chairperson Fahima Abdalla against claims that she is manipulating the election technology tender process, Joho says people envious of her position in the electoral commission are attacking her.
