Mukurwe-ini Member of Parliament John Kaguchia appeared before the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to be grilled over alleged inflammatory remarks he made during a political rally in Kieni, Nyeri County. During the session, the Mukurwe-ini MP rejected an English translation of his utterances, demanding they be reviewed in the native Kikuyu. Maintaining that he is a law-abiding citizen, and will await a court decision on his matter. He however urged the government to handle hate speech cases with fairness.
