KCB Rugby held off a late fightback from Kabras RFC to claim a narrow 12-10 victory in a tightly contested Embu 7s final at Embu Stadium.
Vincent Onyala opened the scoring for defending champions KCB with a try, with Austene Sikutwa adding the conversion to hand the bankers a 7-0 lead. Kabras responded through Mike Lukusi, before Emmanuel Opondo restored KCB’s advantage with a second try. Griffin Chao’s late try gave Kabras hope, but KCB held firm to secure a hard-fought 12-10 win and move to 98 points, six clear at the top of the National 7s Circuit standings.
