Kelvin Kimwatu withdraws case over wife’s burial

The husband of former KCB employee Rosemary Chemutai Koech, Kelvin Kimwatu, has withdrawn the case he filed over the burial of his wife. Kimwatu, through his lawyer, told the court that he would no longer pursue her exhumation or contempt of court proceedings. Kimwatu's lawyer, Ramadhan Abubakar, told the court that his client had decided to leave to God whatever happened on the night of his wife's burial. Instead, Kimwatu is seeking permission to visit his wife's gravesite on any day that the family considers convenient. He said the decision was part of a journey towards reconciliation between the parties. Chemutai was laid to rest on Friday night in accordance with Kalenjin traditions.
