Kenya strengthens position as regional hub for major sports events

Kenya is now becoming a regional hub for sports events, both continentally and internationally. Events like the Kip Keino Classic in athletics, the Safari Rally in motorsports and the Magical Kenya Open in golf have shone the spotlight on Kenya in the world of sports. After winning the bid to host the Africa Cup of Nations together with Tanzania and Uganda, Kenya is now punching above its weight, going for the World Athletics Championships with the decision expected next month.
