Kenyatta claims Raila won 2022 election

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has claimed that the late former ODM leader Raila Odinga won the 2022 presidential election, but was denied victory through what he described as electoral mischief. Speaking during a Jubilee Party National Executive Committee meeting in Nairobi, Kenyatta said he supported Odinga throughout the campaign to ensure he secured the presidency. Kenyatta’s remarks have drawn criticism from the United Democratic Alliance, which maintains that President William Ruto won the 2022 presidential election fairly. Emmanuel Too reports.
