Expressing reservations with the development during a public participation exercise, held at the area chief’s office, residents asked the investor to move the proposed factory elsewhere, intimating that the land upon which the factory was intentioned is reserved for residential purposes only. They at the same time called out the investor over promised projects that would accompany the factory, as part of its corporate social responsibility. This as they questioned the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA’s) absentia, in all three public sittings.
