Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has called on counties to prioritise the completion of County Aggregation and Industrial Parks, saying the facilities will help drive manufacturing and value addition at the grassroots.
Speaking during a meeting with the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment officials, respective governors and officials from relevant government agencies, while checking on the progress of the facilities, Kindiki said eight counties that have made significant progress in completing their industrial parks will be supported to fast-track the remaining works, before the end of the year. He said the government will also work with counties to address key infrastructure needs, including roads, water and sewerage, as the country seeks to attract investors, and expand markets for locally manufactured products.
