Kindiki urges Ruku to stop dividing Mt Kenya

Deputy President Professor Kithure Kindiki has asked Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku to abandon what he describes as efforts to politically divide the Mt Kenya region into East and West. Kindiki says the region’s elders are already working to resolve the emerging political differences and should be given time to complete the process. But even as Kindiki calls for unity, leaders allied to the Kenya Kwanza administration are stepping up political mobilisation and positioning ahead of the 2027 elections
