Kisii villagers disappointed as ‘Virgin Mary’ kitchen is demolished

Residents of Emenwa village in Nyamache, Kisii County, have expressed disappointment following the demolition of a mud-walled kitchen where an image believed to be that of the Virgin Mary had appeared. The kitchen had become a major attraction, drawing visitors to the homestead. Sixty-five-year-old Andrew Onsombi says he decided to bring down the structure in a bid to restore peace and normalcy at his homestead.
