Kuppet officials are asking the government to increase the funding allocated to schools, stating that the current allocation is insufficient, and will not fully cater for national examinations, and all activities of the third term in the academic calendar.
Speaking in Bungoma, Augustine Luketelo, the Kuppet Secretary for Bungoma, stated that the inadequate funding would disrupt daily school operations, and mount additional pressure on school heads, while calling for adequate resources to be released, to ensure proper preparation for national exams.
Luketelo has urged the teachers who will participate in the supervision and marking of this year’s exams, to await a formal agreement before then.
