Mijikenda community embarks on a unity drive ahead of 2027 polls

The Mijikenda community plans to invoke the legacy of Coast independence hero Ronald Ngala as it embarks on a unity drive ahead of the 2027 General Election. The initiative will be marked by a major cultural and community gathering scheduled for December 26 at Ngala’s Vishakani homestead in Kaloleni, Kilifi County. The event is expected to bring together members of the nine Mijikenda sub-tribes in an effort to forge unity and a common political and social agenda.
