Milk shortage expected to persist for another month

The milk shortage gripping the country is expected to persist, with the Kenya Dairy Board warning that supplies may take at least another month to return to normal. The shortage has already lasted three months, leaving consumers struggling to find milk and shelves running empty. Kenya Dairy Board Chairperson Genesio Mugo says milk deliveries to processors have fallen by more than nine million litres over the period, attributing the decline to drought and milk brokers buying directly from farmers.
