Mudavadi backs Kindiki for 2027 succession

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has appeared to back Deputy President Kithure Kindiki for the 2027 succession battle, calling for continuity in government. Speaking in Tharaka Nithi County, Mudavadi praised Kindiki as an able deputy to President William Ruto, saying retaining the current leadership would help sustain ongoing development projects. The remarks come as Kindiki intensifies political mobilisation in the Mt Kenya region, while taking fresh jabs at his predecessor Rigathi Gachagua over what he termed a betrayal of the region.
