Murkomen warns goons against political violence ahead of 2027 polls

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen says the National Police Service will not tolerate goons or political violence as the country prepares for next year’s General Election. Speaking during a half marathon in Kericho hosted by Belgut Member of Parliament Nelson Koech, Murkomen said security agencies will remain on high alert to ensure any planned violence is detected and prevented before it occurs. He added that police will deploy a new strategy to deal with goons. Stephen Letoo reports.
