ODM moves to initiate 2027 talks with UDA

ODM Central Management Committee has resolved to immediately start pre-election alliance talks with President William Ruto's UDA party ahead of the 2027 general election. At a meeting in Kilifi County, party leader Dr. Oburu Oginga was tasked to initiate the talks, and if successful, a national delegates convention (NDC) will ratify the coalition agreement. The meeting was boycotted by party secretary-general Edwin Sifuna.
