The Netword Padel Season Two concluded on Monday night with Derrick Ominde and Kennedy Musembi crowned champions in the men’s doubles competition.
The sport has seen increased participation, with 250 players competing for top honours.
Ominde and Musembi beat Kian Shah and Maxwell Kombo in straight sets, winning 6-3, 6-4 in the final. The pair were playing together for the first time at a major competition.
The men’s advanced competition was won by Ben and Karisa, who defeated Wiki and Derrick 6-0, 6-0.
Sharon and Bella also impressed, seeing off Shivani and Rachna 6-1, 6-1 to win the ladies’ advanced crown.
In the mixed advanced category, Seyanna Ladha and Kennedy Musembi emerged victorious after beating Cheryl and Maxwell in a closely contested final decided by a super tie-break.
