One killed, several injured in chaotic UDA meeting in Embu

One person has died, several others, including three police officers, have been injured, and six vehicles torched after a UDA meeting attended by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki turned chaotic in Manyatta, Embu County. The violence erupted after residents locked out of the meeting at Nembure Stadium began hurling stones into the venue, prompting police to respond with teargas and live bullets. UDA leaders have blamed the chaos on area MP Gitonga Mukunji, who has distanced himself from the violence.
