Orengo declares presidential bid for 2027 on ODM ticket

Barely a month after he declared himself the ODM party leader, Siaya Governor James Orengo now says he is fit to contest the presidency as the ODM flag bearer in 2027. Speaking on Sunday at Ongalo ACK Parish in Kisumu West, Orengo said ODM remains a force to reckon with and that he is ready to contest for the top seat. This comes as a section of the Linda Mwananchi faction was on a charm offensive in Bungoma, where they rallied the region to back the opposition in their bid to unseat President William Ruto.
