Parents throng schools to appeal grade 10 placements

The Ministry of Education says it has approved more than 2,000 placement revision requests for learners set to join Grade Ten in January, assuring parents that adequate manpower has been deployed to support the exercise. Speaking in Nakuru County on Tuesday, Basic Education Principal Secretary Julius Bitok acknowledged initial challenges after the placement portal failed to load, blaming heavy traffic on the system.
