Police hunt woman over Sh40,000 mobile money fraud

Police in Mombasa are hunting for a suspect believed to have stolen 40,000 shillings from a mobile money transfer agent in a daylight robbery. The suspect, a middle-aged woman, was captured on CCTV pretending to deposit cash in a parcel before switching it with another parcel containing fake money. Police say the suspect is also linked to five other similar robberies targeting mobile money transfer agents in Mombasa. The latest incident has raised concerns over increasing cases of fraud and robbery targeting mobile money agents.
