According to investigators, preliminary findings have pieced together events leading up to the crash. As part of the inquiry, the DCI is reviewing CCTV footage, which reportedly shows the late Jirongo driving into a petrol station from the Nairobi direction at around 2:18 a.m. The footage indicates that he did not refuel before making a U-turn moments before the tragic accident. Furthermore, staff at a restaurant in Karen have confirmed that Jirongo was at the establishment the night before the crash.
