The Public Procurement Administrative Review Board is within the next two weeks expected to rule on an application contesting the elections technology tender issued by the IEBC earlier this month. Today, the board listened to submissions of parties to the dispute in which Galadirel Investments Limited has opposed the tender document, claiming it is skewed in favor of a pre-determined vendor. IEBC, however, has rejected the claims that it tailor-made the tender specifications in favour of Miru Systems, a South Korean elections technology company. Melita Oletenges reports on one of the key election components that could determine the credibility of next year’s general election.
