Ruto defends record on police reforms

President William Ruto has defended his administration against claims that it has failed to implement recommendations of the National Taskforce on Police Reforms. Speaking during the passing-out parade of Administration Police Service recruits in Embakasi, President Ruto said his government has implemented key recommendations of the Maraga-led taskforce, including improvements in police remuneration, housing, uniforms and training over the past three years. The President, however, said the true measure of police reform lies in integrity, respect for the rule of law and selfless service.
