Ruto orders faster verification of pending county bills

President William Ruto has directed the Controller of Budget and the Auditor-General to expedite the verification of pending county bills, warning that delays in paying suppliers are hurting county spending and weighing down the economy. The President spoke at State House, Nairobi, during the 13th National and County Governments Coordinating Summit, where seven members of the Intergovernmental Relations Technical Committee were also sworn in.
