Ruto says Kenya has borrowed least since 2022

President William Ruto says Kenya has borrowed the least since he took power in 2022, comparing his record with previous administrations that, he claims, left the country deep in debt. Speaking during a development tour of Kericho and Bomet counties, President Ruto said he inherited a country burdened by debt but has, within four years, managed to stabilize the economy. As Emmanuel Too reports, the President also stepped up his attacks on the opposition, challenging Kenyans to judge all presidential aspirants by their track record.
