Sifuna, Kalonzo condemn Ruto over Tata closure and media freedom

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has criticised President William Ruto over his decision to order the closure of Tata Chemicals Magadi, describing the move as illegal and warning that it could scare away investors. Speaking in Bumula, Bungoma County, during a funeral service, Sifuna and the Linda Mwananchi team condemned what they termed state interference with private investors, warning that the move could hurt the economy. Meanwhile, Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka has accused the government of muzzling press freedom by targeting media owners and journalists in what he described as the latest onslaught.
