SMEs yet to feel impact of increased private sector credit

As the banking sector celebrates growth in credit to the private sector, a clear disconnect is emerging, particularly among small and medium-sized enterprises. SMEs say they are yet to see a meaningful improvement in access to credit despite the adoption of risk-based credit pricing. Some businesses remain unconvinced that increased credit disbursement has translated into easier or more affordable financing.
