Thousands attend funeral of MP Johana Nge’no and chopper crash victims

A wave of grief swept through Emurwa Dikiir as thousands of residents gathered at a local primary school grounds to receive the bodies of five people, including an area member of parliament, who perished in a tragic plane crash last Saturday. The grounds usually filled with play and laughter of school children were, on Thursday, turned into a sea of tears, pain, and tribute as mourners wailed, others stood in stunned silence, and leaders struggled to find words to comfort a community in mourning.
