Youth storm Utimo Sacco offices protesting colleague’s death in Umoja

A group of youth and community members stormed the Utimo Matatu Sacco offices in Buruburu to protest the death of their colleague, Briyan Wafula. Wafula died two weeks ago near Space Mall in Umoja after allegedly being pushed from a moving matatu following a payment dispute. His colleagues say Wafula had helped the crew free their vehicle from deep mud, but was allegedly denied his agreed payment. When he boarded the matatu to demand his money, the conductor allegedly shoved him out, causing him to fall and sustain fatal head injuries.
