COP 29 I Pan African Climate Justice Alliance call for health inclusion in national adaptation plans

The high level segment of the conference of parties kicked off today with the formation of four ministerial committees to thrash out the four thorny items likely to derail the talks. The four committee will be co-chaired by climate ministers from developing and developed countries. African Group of Negotiators says the four teams will seek consensus on matters adaptation, carbon markets, mitigations and the new collective quantified goals. This comes even as the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance called for the inclusion of health in the national adaptation plans.
